2nd Bee • Update
Thomaston Artist, Pat Piscopo, has started her 2nd bee for “Bees Across New Britain”.
Last Tuesday, May 12, 2019, several of the fully dressed Bees (including Pat’s 1st Bee) were unveiled in Central Park in front of City Hall, New Britain. The remaining bees (including Pat’s 2nd Bee shown here) will appear in the Park as they are completed by the artists.
Late June, 2019: There will be a “Bees Across New Britain Celebration” with the auctioning of four of the creatures. After the celebration, the remaining Bees will make their way to sponsor locations throughout the City where they will remain on display.
Spaceship • Update
Pat has finished up her Spaceship for Stamford, CT Downtown’s outdoor sculpture exhibit.
The Art in Public Places Outdoor Sculpture exhibit features sculptures lining the sidewalks and parks of the Downtown. The 2019 outdoor sculpture exhibit, Space Invasion, will feature 30 originally designed and painted fiberglass sculptures that will be on display for free public viewing and enjoyment all summer.
