Sharon H. Martin

Sharon Martin was born in Circleville, Ohio. After graduating from Ohio State University, she met her husband Hugh Martin at Lake George, NY. They had a grand marriage of fifty years raising two children, traveling, skiing, dancing and enjoying their sailboat.

Sharon taught Home Economics for 32 years in Waterbury, CT. She loved teaching because she loves children and enjoys teaching people important life skills.

In her retirement she started painting. She found  two very talented art teachers — Ray White of Plymouth and Dora Cox of Litchfield. Sharon’s media is watercolors. She loves their translucency and how the observer has to put their own imagination into the painting. Her paintings are gay and colorful - ones that make people happy.

Sharon enjoys her retirement and now spends six months in Florida biking, kayaking, playing pickle ball with her daughter Joleen and her friends. Then six months in Connecticut enjoying her sailboat.

Although many of Sharon's paintings are not for sale - she does sell prints: the 8x10" prints for $25 and the 11x14" ones for $30
